Since 1977, the Reability Center has hosted an annual Telethon to raise funds so we can provide therapy services to patients who need them regardless of their financial situation. Once a year, Telethon gives the Reability Center the opportunity to share the stories of our patients and thank the generous donors who make it all possible. Together, in 2025, we raised over $1.4 million to help provide life changing therapy services to patients in the Permian Basin!
Join us this year March 23rd – 28th, for the same Telethon but with a new look, only on NewsWest 9 at 6 PM.

Meet Jaxson!
Let us introduce you to Jaxson – our 2026 patient representative!
Jaxson’s Story
Jaxson is an energetic and determined 7-year-old who fills every room with joy and motion. Born at just 22 weeks, his story is nothing short of a miracle – many children born that early never get the chance to walk, talk, or play. When Jaxson began therapy services at the Permian Basin Reability Center at 3 years old, he relied on a tube for breathing and a feeding tube, and struggled with fear, balance, and coordination. He couldn’t yet speak or follow simple verbal cues.
Through compassionate, one-on-one physical therapy and occupational therapy services, Jaxson has made remarkable progress. He’s now walking with improved balance, building agility and strength, and finding his voice, speaking often and proudly! While he continues to work on focus and fine motor skills like writing, brushing his teeth, and zipping his jacket, his determination shines through every session.
Jaxson’s favorite activities – singing, dancing, coloring, drawing, and playing with his sister -reflect his bright, creative spirit. And of course, his love for trains is unstoppable!
Every milestone Jaxson reaches reminds the Reability Center team why they do what they do: restoring ability, rekindling joy, and reimagining what’s possible. Jaxson’s journey is still unfolding and the best is yet to come.

With your support, the Permian Basin Reability Center provided over 18,000 therapy sessions to children and adults in 2025. Patients and their families travel from 34 counties in West Texas and New Mexico seeking the therapy they need and deserve. You are the reason that the Permian Basin Reability Center has been able to provide hope and help to our patients for so many years.
